The incident that triggered it all

Last Sunday, I was home chilling and watching a video which seemed to have aged well in 2025. So, quite naturally, in hopes that I had finally discovered a new creator and something new to watch, I watched a video YouTube recommended to me after that one.  The video, characteristic of same wittiness, offered an interesting perspective. However, I didn't agree with it. Thinking deeply about it took me back to a time of around last year, when another man; who happened to work for me; raised a similar argument in a neutral tone. Despite everything, back then, I didn't agree with him but since, I couldn't think of the right arguments to put my perspective forth, so I was left battling a dead-end argument with the person. I'll solve the mystery of what argument I'm talking about. Here, watch the video yourself.

The video

Just in case, you're the kind of person who is repulsed by the title and do not want to give the person a cent for their comedic but misogynistic view, I'll summarise it for you right here, right now.

He highlights how women occupy (perhaps in the US) about 65% of PR and middle range jobs and never work low wage jobs. He goes on to amplify in several iterations how women never work lowest-wage, manual scavenging and physically labourious jobs but look to work for a office, air-conditioned job.

My argument/view on women not working physically labourious jobs

I feel like before I dismantle his argument I should rightfully tell you why I called his view without providing any evidence per say, why his view was misogynistic. I watched another video from him; this one was a stand-up, so we know his views were direct unlike hidden under a layer of comedy. If you want to watch that one as well, I'll attach the video here and you can for yourself, but mind you, you'll find yourself saying the same thing I am going to now.

We've been fighting for equality since the 19th century; if you take the Western world in our argument; for our rights and while we've made massive improvements in our lives. However, I think, a large part of it remains undone as long as women are only viewed for their biological advantage over men. What I mean by that is despite seeming progressive, men (even in the West) think women having a vagina is some sort of a failing as their existence on Earth. I say this because when it comes to showing a woman her "place" in this world, rape always comes in the picture. It still largely believed and taught in subtle to both men and women (and yes, even in the the most progressive countries on Earth) in unspoken ways that you can always exploit and break a women if you dominate her sexually, especially if you do it without her consent. Something is taken away from her that she could only give to a special person. Hence, rape and even rape allegations are seriously punished morally or legally.

The thing is, women are physically capable of doing odd jobs that don't pay much. In fact, I'll attach an example of woman who is actively doing this in India, at the end of this blog. But in return, can you, as a man (if you are one), promise to not rape us? Because, if not, you'll need to keep doing the odd jobs at minimum pay without complaints. And sure, not all men are rapists but isn't it always a man? And yes, women are capable of raping men too but like elaborated in the previous paragraph, it is never as important as it is for a woman.

Do not start a gender war in the comments, because the side that tipped the scales since the beginning were men and by that I mean, women were kept, at worst, as concubines and slaves and at best, their husband's property. I hope you see why women occupy the cushy jobs.

As promised, here is the video of a woman who drives a delivery truck in India.

And if you are interested in my perspective of rape and female sexuality, read more over here.

And if you thought this was too woke, read a right-wing biased argument of mine, here.

Author's note:- I've written something like this after a long time, so please support in the comments if you liked my argument, I'd really appreciate it.
