1 year later....
Husband gets summoned to Delhi and goes to a work trip and some official work. Gauri takes the opportunity to venture out in the market to send a postcard to a friend in London. One day she sneaks out in the market, only to discover to her horror that the movement she thought was left behind was still alive.
Gauri walks into the busy bazaar far from the comfort of her home. As she walks past a post office, she notices a malnourished man walk in there. Curious, she waits outside and watches.
A newspaper with an obvious paper stuffed into it passed to the person behind the counter. The person behind the counter accepts it and places it beneath the desk. Gauri waits, pretending to look around the bazaar. Another man, whom she suspects to be the owner of the establishment walks to the counter and pulls out the newspaper, takes out the stuffed paper and keeps it back under the counter. Minutes later, he shreds the paper into pieces and burns it.
Gauri slowly heads back home.

The next day.....
Gauri decides to walk past the same bazaar. As soon as she notices the same feeble man approaching, she draws out her chit and covertly passes it to him in the street. Without looking back, both of them continue in the other direction.

Later......
"ARGHHHHH"
Gauri claps her hand over the mouth.
The feeble man brutally tortured and intensities hanging from the open stomach was hung from the roof of the her home library. Gauri pulls the letter from his hand.
मै स्वतंत्रता सैनानी हूँ। मेरी मृत्यु का कारण ब्रिटिश राज है। इंकलाब ज़िंदाबाद।
Gauri tears up.
(Husband appears at the door)
Husband: Ready to go? Ohhh (notices the cadaver) What a shame! Poor chap.
(Still having her back faced, Gauri discreetly wipes her tears)
Gauri: Yes dear.
Few days later.....
Gauri goes out of her mansion for a ride. The horse's caretaker joins her.
Gauri (smiling): Good evening! How do you do?
Rishi: I'm doing fine on this lovely day, thank you for asking madam. What brings you her today? (fixing the horse's leg)
Gauri: I was wondering if I could accompany me to a horse ride and maybe even get ghewar (smiling with a twinkle in her eye)
Rishi: You know about ghewar? (Coming close to dump grass in front of the horse)
Gauri: Don't let the accent and the skin fool you. My dad was a nobleman from Rajasthan......even though....I have grown up all my life in Britain. (maintaining eye contact)
Rishi: Really? I don't believe you.
Gauri: Yeah, well, I got traded into the crown really young and he died shortly after.
Rishi: That's unfortunate. I'm sorry. (Moves away)
Gauri: (Holds his arm when he tries to move) It is okay (looking up again)
(She moves closer. They kiss.)
