AI Slop- An Answer to "Will AI writing replace human writing?"

 

I feel like it is my responsibility to give my 2 cents on the AI boom since I am the uncredited promoter of AI when it first started in 2022. If you don’t know what I am talking about, please read this first. First of all, I’m not sorry for what I’ve unleashed in this world, because for the most part, most people reading this might not even have the slightest idea of who I am and what I write about, since nobody decided to give me credit for improving AI to this level. Yes, I am aware that AI did exist before I wrote about and there were several people who had talked about it before me, but if you see Google trends, you’ll see that AI took off right after a month of me writing my blog. Further, continuing on my point, if I am not going to be credited with its invention, neither should I be blamed or take entire responsibility for something no one even acknowledged me with.

My Side

Personally, when I wrote that blog post, I was really optimistic that no one would be able to create an AI generator that could come up with human-like creations. I never intended this as a challenge. I was merely speculating. I hate how my words were twisted out of meaning and taken as personal offence to create something so disgusting that it has taken away work from actual humans and disrupted the entirety of the internet so much so that it has made it extremely difficult to understand what is AI and what isn’t. I sometimes wish I hadn’t written that. But perhaps this is how the world is, and this is what people like. After all, everything happens for a reason and a good one, so maybe I should celebrate.

Aftermath

I've very patiently waited for the "AI bubble" to burst, but it hasn't. If anything, it has gotten worse. While I don't exactly know how, it has threatened to dry our drinking water sources. I never used to get any AI content on my feed in the last 2 years, but now, for some reason, I see it almost every day on my Instagram feed, and I hate it. I think the damage has been done and it is not going to go away anytime soon but I do hope that by writing this, there will be no AI content on my 'for you' page.
