Clop Clop Clop Clop Clop Clop

I took steps faster and closer to the silhouette of the banyan tree. Reaching closer, the banyan tree presented as a taller and ginormous figure. The darkness of the night was deep and the storm even more heavy.

The lamp flickered back on. A few fruits lay upon the terra roots of the plant.

Fruits? This tree is a worshipped plant. So how come no one lives here.?!

The keypad tone rang as I pressed the numbers on the phone.

NO SIGNAL.

The whispery but ethereal sound of a flute floated through the air and reached my ears.

Flute music???!! I thought nobody lived here.

The tarp fluttered and made a whipping noise as I turned to find the source of flute music. In the hazy weather, a man with loads of flutes surrounding him and one pressed to his lips turned up sitting on another point of the circumference of the banyan tree roots.

"You!" I shrieked to make myself loud enough to counter the sound of the rain.

"Yes sir." He replied back calmly.

"Who are you? Why are you playing this flute in this rain? Does nobody live in this town?"

"I could ask the same for you, sir." He seemingly stood up.

"I..." I reversed around to check the neighbourhood, then turned back to him, "....am a traveller. I am stuck here. I was supposed to be in Maliha by now." Surprisingly, he had reached quite close to me.

"That's too bad sir. I'm afraid you are too far away from help."

"What?" I enquired as my heart beat tremendously fast.

"Yes....and NOW..." a smile drew across his face.

"YOU'RE MINE!" his lip corners creepily moved across his face and pulled into a demonic smile.

Suddenly, it all went black.
