Ginger tales - A Children's Story

I wrote a children's story.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ginger the cat woke up. It was a new day.

Grrrrrrr. His tummy grumbled.
Ginger realised he needed to hunt some food.

Ginger looked around. Buildings, every where.

Hmmmmm

Ouuu!! A tree cover. Surely I'll find some mice there.

Ginger starts to cross the road.

HONK! HONK! A big scary car frightened the life out of Ginger.
Ginger ran for his life and narrowly escaped getting hit by the car.

Stupid impatient driver. Can't you see a cat crossing the road? Open you eyes, mister!

Friend! Please be more careful the next time. Goldilocks warned Ginger. You see, these drivers don't care. We are just animals to them. Look what they did to me. Ginger saw her broken leg.

Ginger was very sad. Goldilocks had just shocked him by saying he did not matter.
It really hurt. Before Ginger could thank him for the warning, Goldilocks had hoped away.

Tummy rumbles were too strong for little Ginger. He made his way inside the forest. Guilt was wasting his time right now.

Ginger sniffed everything. Nothing. No scent of mice.
Looks like there are no mice here either. Ohh... what do I do?

After a thorough search, Ginger came out of the woods.

Ginger meowed at the passing stranger. The man took no notice of the starving cat.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hours had passed by. The tummy rumbles were stronger but no food to be found.

MEOWWW..
Huh? The strange meow stunned Ginger. He needed to know who the strange cat was.
Oh! It is a human.

Yummyyyy!! Fooooodd!!!

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It was so kind of her. Today ended so well. Tomorrow will be good to me too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is a picture of the stray cat that (sort of) inspired the story. The cat in the story is surely named after him. The girl in the story isn't me, but another girl who, like me; feeds cats. I felt like I needed to clear that up.

I'd insert a video; but alas I have reached my limit of posting graphics to this blog. Perhaps, I'll do so in the next post.

Ginger is a ginger cat. He is affectionate of humans who spoil him; i.e rubs himself on legs and meows when he sees them; but hates being touched or petted by them. I think it makes him anxious. He likes sitting at a comfortable distance from me. Close enough where I can be watched, but also where he can express his affection. If I walk away, he follows me to sit at the comfortable distance again.

If I were you I wouldn't be worried about him starving. While he appreciates the extra food, he is pretty skilled hunter. I do, however, wish I could feed him good cat food more often.

Thanks for reading so far. If you liked the story, I'd appreciate if you could let me know about it.
