The Common Housefly

Awake, the common housefly finds itself in a dark and dingy area. Following the glint of light pouring from above, the common housefly decides to rise up. Fluttering its wings, the common housefly rises above the dark corner of its residence and elevates itself a few centimetres above the ground. As the existence of domestic staples mean nothing and adds no value to the life of the common housefly, the common housefly decides to explore other areas so that it may find its area of interest. Long plateaus and uninteresting, endless plots of abyss debilitate the common housefly. Leading it nowhere, the common housefly gradients its flight downwards, closer to the endless abyss, this time. Noticing the approaching obstruction inching closer on its right, the common housefly finds it wise to proceed further ahead, where no such obstruction lies. The common housefly, still on its journey while staying close to the ground, finds a new dilemma. The obstruction, which only a few minutes ago, extended endlessly on the right had appeared out of nowhere on its front. Feeling trapped, the common housefly decides to ascend upwards and dances around in an uncommon fashion, longing to find an aperture opening to an exit. Exasperated and defeated after several minutes of effort, the common housefly decides to give up and instead sets its eyes on a new goal. A medicine bottle cap. Designing a parabola, the common housefly makes a beeline for the bottle cap. Although the common housefly finds its resting spot clean and apt for its ritual, a new intruder doesn’t. The common housefly takes the threat to its existence seriously and flies away before its fears come to fruition. Hasty and perhaps anxious, the common housefly in his run for life, does not recognise the new surroundings and finds them unfamiliar, with the exception of a sweet, delicious, cold scent. Following the attractive pheromone that tickled his senses sweet, the common housefly finds the source of scent to be an isolated and unmonitored ice cream stand. The common housefly finding the hunter no longer behind it, decides to be brave again. When the common housefly tilts back and scrubs its hand clean, he notices the inauspicious intrusion over him, once again. The unhappy intruder gives the common housefly a hellish time; chasing it out of the sweet resting spot for one and not stopping the swing of the weapon of destruction, all whilst chasing it. Sweaty, the common housefly stops only when it notices the backdrop light dimming and temperature dropping. Turning around, the common housefly finds that the weapon of destruction is no longer chasing it. The common housefly buzzes, keeping itself stationary at its elevation. It is only after a few seconds that the common housefly flies right and decides to settle for the night on a peculiar green carton. The dumpster, for all its worth, offers the common housefly a few nice spots for a bath, a place to rest its head and some food. The common housefly, possibly happy, develops an affinity for the new home. Even the sudden closing of the dumpster lid door doesn’t alarm the common housefly. The common housefly draws comfort from its new surroundings and finally decides to complete the cleaning ritual that remained half-finished at the medicine bottle cap.

Author's note:- Continuing the narration theme for the week. How many times did I say 'the common housefly', btw? Also, if I do not upload again for while, it is because I am short on ideas and not because I don't want to do this anymore.
